KATANA SUSHI BAR

The people who brought you the deliciousness that is Terracotta Red have delivered another winner: Katana Sushi. If you're like us, you've been waiting a long time for a sushi bar to grace the streets of downtown Everett - and this one does not disappoint.

The restaurant is set in the cozy brick building that used to house Sojen Cellar's tasting room (the winery is still located in the back). Dimly lit and decorated with modern Asian artwork (and a pretty cool moped), the place feels like a perfect mix of hip and homey.

The menu is simple and straightforward, but offers great options at almost any price range. Diners can feast on traditional rolls like spicy tuna ($5) and tempura shrimp ($7), or try Katana's specialty rolls - priced up to about $20/each. And if you're one of the few who still think raw fish is gross, never fear, there are several great seafood-free options on the appetizer menu.

The drink menu features Asian beer and wine ($5-$10/glass).

Visit them at 2818 Hewitt Ave. Open daily for lunch and dinner (be sure to check out their lunch specials). Take a look at Katana's Facebook page for hours.
